We want to offer our students a joyous and enthusiastic "WELCOME BACK" as we begin a new term this week. We welcome a brand new group of students who will start their Orientation Course as HOPE School Cohort 4. This is the fourth year in a row of a new intake, and each year brings us new enthusiasm, new hope, and new opportunities. This is also the beginning of the final term for Cohort 2 students, who will be graduating in December. Not to overlook Cohort 3, we have so many success stories being written by these students.
Course invitations have been sent out and need to be accepted as soon as possible. Students, please check your inboxes for course enrollment instructions. Let us know if you need assistance in logging in, enrolling, or getting started in these new courses.
We've made a few policy and procedure changes this you need to know about as we begin this new term. First, Paul and Catherine will be keeping "office hours" at different locations four days each week to be more accessible to students. Students are encouraged to stop in and visit, get help with assignments, meet with other students and share a coffee. Please consider checking in with them at least once a week at your convenience. It'll be a great opportunity to ask questions, turn in notes, and share some good fellowship.
Beginning THIS WEEK, you'll be able to find Paul and Catherine in the following locations:
Wednesdays- Cafe Deli on Moi Avenue from 3pm - 7pm Thursdays- Cafe Deli on Moi Avenue from 3pm - 7pm Fridays - Java House @ Thika Road Mall from 3pm - 7pm Saturdays- Java House @ Greenspan Mall from 12noon - 4pm
The other big policy change we've made this term is our Student Expectations document, including our late work policy and academic integrity policy. We've emailed a copy of this document to all HOPE School students. Our commitment back to you will be an unrelenting spirit of encouragement and service as you work your way though the diploma program. We offer you our very best, and we'll do what we can to support you as you move forward and run your race.
