I was introduced to HOPE School by a friend who believed the course would benefit me as a leader and as a member of society. At first, I resisted joining because I felt too busy and unable to concentrate. However, he encouraged me consistently and reminded me of the importance of continuous learning. I eventually enrolled, although I was not confident in my ability to cope.

When the Human Development & Lifelong Learning unit began, I struggled greatly. I felt like I was not understanding anything, and the thought of dropping crossed my mind several times. My concentration was poor, and balancing my responsibilities with schoolwork felt difficult. After telling my friend what I felt, my friend insisted that quitting was not an option for me. His encouragement pushed me to reflect and make a firm decision to continue.

I adopted new effort and discipline, strategies to support my learning. I realized that free time does not just appear; one must create it. I began setting aside specific hours for study and used hard copy materials to improve my focus. I also created a studying space at very quiet place to boost my concentration. Through consistent effort and discipline, my understanding improved, and I became more confident in my learning.

This challenge turned into an opportunity for growth. My concentration became sharper and I developed a stronger commitment to my studies. Joining HOPE School has helped me grow daily, not only academically but also personally. Because of the positive change I have experienced, I am now motivated to encourage others to join and embrace learning.

This unit has taught me valuable lessons about discipline, determination and importance of a learner mindset. Taking steps of creating time and improve my study habit. I have transformed a difficult beginning into a meaningful process of growth and improvement.
