HOPE School's purpose and learning outcomes are based on our graduate profile – the characteristics we seek to develop in all our graduates. These learning outcomes guide our curriculum development and drive us on a daily basis. These ideas are woven into every course we offer and form the foundation for our unique community that spans across continents.

A HOPE School graduate Faithfully Follows King Jesus.

  • Consistently behaves as an ethical, honest, and loving Christian.
  • Demonstrates a vital relationship with Jesus seen in the discipline of regular practices of worship, spiritual renewal, and personal growth; and reflected in the growing evidence of the fruit of the Spirit.
  • Cultivates a deepening ability to hear God’s Word in stillness and solitude.
  • Nurtures accountable relationships for spiritual growth.
  • Disciples others who disciple others in holistic Christian growth.
  • Dedicated as a faithful and loving partner and parent.
  • Assigns God priority over conflicting cultural heritages and in all aspects of life.
  • Commits and develops their gifts and passions toward their Kingdom calling.
We are committed to helping our students grow in Christlikeness and to be lovers of God and neighbor. As we model and teach from a solidly Christian perspective, we want to instill similar values of putting Christ ahead of conflicting cultural heritages and secular worldviews.

A HOPE School graduate is Globally Aware.

  • Exhibits a holistic, biblical worldview.
  • Integrates theological, biblical, historical, and contextual reflection in daily living and decision making.
  • Honors all persons as created in the image of God – regardless of race, ethnicity, language, or national origin; age or marital status; gender or sexual orientation; ability or disability; religion or spirituality; socioeconomic status or educational level.
  • Reaches across cultural differences in ways that are loving and respectful.
  • Seeks justice for communities and individuals.
  • Practices both creativity and criticality in solving problems, examining data, and making decisions.
We are committed to a diverse community of Christians seeking to live God’s will in today’s world. As a community committed first to the Kingdom of God, our students form similar commitments to a holistic, biblical worldview; seek justice; and innovate for good.

A HOPE School graduate is a Servant Leader.

  • Leads with ethical and moral integrity.
  • Empowers, equips, and mentors others toward personal, professional, and spiritual growth.
  • Models a humble, serve-first attitude amidst a world that seeks power and control.
  • Acts swiftly to skillfully resolve conflicts.
  • Courageously demands ethical behavior from peers.
  • Utilizes a strengths-based approach with emotional intelligence to lead self and teams.
We are committed to challenging the ‘Big Man Syndrome’ and leadership power plays in preference for servant leadership. We want to produce servants who are self-aware and who seek to develop and empower others rather than seeking service from or adoration of others.

A HOPE School graduate is Resourceful.

  • Seeks financial sustainability using an entrepreneurial mindset of creativity, risk tolerance, ownership, and resourcefulness.
  • Practices stewardship that appropriately protects, utilizes, and multiplies resources.
  • Manages finances (budgeting, investing, accounting) with skill and integrity.
  • Embraces an entrepreneurial mindset and can create value through business planning and execution.
  • Manages processes and projects with knowledge, skill, and wisdom.
We are committed to equipping students with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes to provide for themselves and others without being reliant on outside financial support. We promote entrepreneurial stewardship as Christians who rely upon God, are gifted by the Spirit, and are stewards of Creation.
